OSLO (NTB) a 28-year-old Italian citizen is imprisoned for six weeks in Oslo interrogation court, charged with stealing NOK 300,000-350,000 from the Italian Embassy in Oslo last July. The charges also include check fraud and misappropriation of about NOK 16 000. The man accepted the imprisonment, but refused any acquaintance to the ?smyk ketyvery. He has confessed to the check wind and embezzlement of 4000 crowns.

So the theft was in July 1970.

Perhaps he had been visiting various embassies in Oslo and stealing cash and passports.
